We´re recruiting a Senior Support Engineer

2016-04-04

We are seeking a Senior Support Engineer for our Stockholm office to provide software and hardware system support to our customers in Europe, Middle East and Asia. The position is a full-time post, preferably based at our headquarters in Stockholm.

At Sciss we believe successful business can have a simple recipe – shoot straight, be honest and build great products. Add a dash of design and that’s a definition of who we aspire to be. Sounds exciting? We think it is.

Work description

As Senior Support Engineer you will be responsible for our first-line support to our customer base in Europe, Middle East and Asia. You will be working closely with our US based Senior Support Engineer to form a team providing 24/7 world-wide support. As second line support you will have access to a strong team of software and hardware engineers.

You will be responsible to schedule and carry out preventive maintenance throughout your user base. This will mainly include onsite work carrying out projector service, updating software and providing training on new software features.

As Senior Support Engineer you will also be responsible to respond to emergency support request and to make sure that any issue is resolved as quickly as possible. If a remote solution isn’t possible this can require onsite work, it can also require scheduling of second line support resources. Your role is to manage the problem until a solution is found, keeping the customer updated on the progress. The position will include both planned travels (for preventive maintenance), as well as unscheduled travels (when prompt on-site support is needed).

You are expected to represent Sciss in a professional way, treating all clients fairly and with respect.

Who are you?

You have experience working with large scale display systems, preferably from working with system diagnostics and repair. You have a strong interest in building a rapport and long-term satisfaction with your customers.

You are curious and have an interest in science and technology.

You are independent and have the confidence to make decisions on your own. You also have the ability to see when you need support and knowledge from your colleagues to complete a task.

You are a very good communicator and are comfortable with leading software training sessions.

You are energetic and positive and are looking to join our team to be an integral part of a rapidly growing endeavor. You value helpfulness, honesty, and the ambition to improve.

You are fluent in English. Swedish is not a requirement.

Attitude and capability is more important than experience, so don’t hesitate to apply for this position even if your experience is missing on one or more of these points.
